Re: menopause
You did not explain what symptoms you were experiencing and why your doctor thinks you are premenopausal. We know that hormones are responsible for sexual desire. So, the first question I need to ask is are you having problems with sex - low sex drive, painful intercourse?
If you are having these concerns and in the absence of any underlying medical problem, your doctor may recommend testosterone replacement. The doses that are used for testosterone supplementation are much lower than the typical male replacement dose. There are side effects, which are rare with low does- these include deeping of voice and increased facial hair. There are many ways in which testosterone therapy is administered, so you should discuss those options with your doctor. Let us know how your blood work turned out.
