Yesterday, I read about a new test from the Netherlands that can accurately predict the age of the onset of menopause. Evidently, the levels of the hormone (anti-Müllerian hormone) in the blood can predict the number of follicles present in the ovaries that can ultimately tell when you're going to reach menopause.

These days, many women postpone the time they have children until their 30s. Sometimes, they are are surprised to find out they can't have children because they are already sterile. With the new test, planning a family may become easier. Does anyone have any personal experiences and find relief in reading this news?

It would be interesting to find out when I will be entering menopause. It probably wouldn't affect my child rearing as I know that the risks increase with age. It would help me to understand symptoms during perimenopause. Being prepared before onset would truly be helpful as I would understand that the symptoms that I am having are explainable.
