migraines

I hope theres hope for me yet... I am going to be 62 and still have not completed menapause.I know (hard to believe).I now get my period every 2 or 3 months. Now that i don't get it once a month i have terrible migraine headaches. I only got them before when I would get my period once a month. Now, I suffer with them at least 2 to 3x's a week.
Takes a whole day for them to go away even with medication. Anyone else out there with this problem? And also, what do you take for it?
Thanks

Re: migraines

Have you told your GYN about the migraines? Also have you had a physical lately. If not this might be a good time to do it,let the doctor check out your general health.

Re: migraines

Been there, done that, was told it's the hormonal change. I don't want to mess with Mother Nature and take anything to balance it out. I just want to be over and done with the change. When i mention that i still get my period to most women, they are in the state of shock and say, "Oh, iv'e been thru that in my 40's or early 50's.." Gee, should I try and get into the world records with this one??lol
