Hi Dr. Goldstein,<BR>I was diagnosed with VVS this week. Estrogen cream was prescribed and maybe surgery in the future. Have you ever had a women have trouble conceiving after the surgery for VVS? What exactly is the estrogen cream for? Is it just a band aid or can it really take away the pain I feel daily? <BR>Thanks, RMW

Has anyone had the Vulvar Vestibulectomy with Vagina Advance surgery? Has it relieved your pain, itching and burning. Do you have any side effects or discomforts since the surgery. Do you feel it was a success? Let me know.

There is no difficult conceiving after surgery for vestibulitis (vestibulectomy). <P>In my opinion, estrogen works if there is atrophy (thinning) of the vestibule because of long term birth control pill use or (peri)menopause.
