pregnancy and vulvodynia

Anyone here have experience with being pregnant and having vulvodynia? I am considering having a baby but I fear it will worsen the symptoms (burning, soreness, etc). Thanks.

Re: pregnancy and vulvodynia

In my experience as a physician treating vulvodynia, most women do not get worse during their pregnancies. "Unfortunately, if you do get worse, the medications used to treat the exacerbation are limited.

quote:
Originally posted by idauria:
Anyone here have experience with being pregnant and having vulvodynia? Re: pregnancy and vulvodynia

Thank you for your reply. I have been getting stories from women with vulvar pain who had pregnancies. It seems that every woman is affected differently. One important thing for me is to find an obgyn who understands vulvodynia.
