I've heard about Lamisil possibly causing vvs, are there other medications to be worried about? What about tetracyclin? Thanks!

I don't think anyone knows for sure but anything that "irritates" the skin there is a possible culprit. As far as antibiotics - they may lead to yeast infection and the meds for that can irritate.

I feel (and so does my Dr.) that my chronic yeast infection and all the meds (I used them all) led to my VVS. I think it's the topical creams that are the culprit.

Any topical medications can cause an irritant or allergic reaction that can cause vestibulitis is susceptible women.

What about birth control? I know it can vaginal atrophy but is there any evidence or experience indicating birth control might be the culprit or factor in VVS?

When I went to the doctor she said withour a doubt that I had VVS not vaginal atrophy.

However, I stopped taking birth control 2 months ago and the problem has improved. I already have an appointment with another doctor for another opinion.

These were were all linked to my issues. It is also possible that one of the preservatives or fillers caused a reaction.
