Dr Goldstein and anyone with answers!! - vestibular surg
Hi all
I have vestibulitis in the area surrounding the urethra. Localised pain only. My dr has suggested larger surgery than the biopsy I had.
I just want to know - can a vestibulectomy be performed in this area. If so, how deep is the tissue cut and removed? My pain feels like it goes deeper than just on the surface...

LASER surgery should NEVER be performed for vestibulitis. The tissue next to the urethra can be excised safely and easily by a surgeon who has experience with vestibulectomies.

Dear Dr Goldstein
Thank you for your wonderful advice. It is most valued. I wish that I lived in the USA so that I could come and see you. Do you ever treat patients from overseas? I live in South Africa, but I will travel anywhere in the world to find relief from this vestibular pain.
