His and Her Health

Hello. I've been married for 11yrs. Had 3 children all through C-section. I've had a very healthy, normal sex life until about three weeks ago. When my husband and I were having intercourse, I had to tell him to stop due to a deep pain (like he was hitting something). This has never happened to me before. Then, two weeks later, I began spotting. I've been spotting for five days now. I should have had a normal period, but have only had the spotting. I thought maybe these two things were related, (so went to family doc to see if I left a tampon in by mistake, and she said there was nothing that she could see, and everything looked normal). I have an appointment to see my OBGYN very soon; but was wondering if you could offer me some points I should bring up during my visit, what I can expect (tests, etc.), and an opinion of posabilities would be nice.
