VV Surgery, Fribro, and more...
This was an eMail my wife wrote for advise. Can anyone give input..
Hello:
I had a nerve block to the vestibule area to see if I was a good candidate for a VV surgery. The nerve block went well but I know that surgery is another thing entirely.
It has been four years since I have felt a VERY HEALTHY normal. Or what I call 100%. I mark the beginning of this saga with a bladder infection that never went away.
I have been to 8-10 doctors tried at least over 20 pills....not to mention at least 50 or more herbal supplements, allergy shots, yeast diet low oxolate diet, cave man diet, allergy rotation diet, acupuncture, 5 physical therapists including two pelvic floor therapists and a biofeedback specialist, a cardiologist.....umm I probably don't need to go on, but I am fairly certain that my husband and I have spent a down payment on a home in medical fees instead, and I still have absolutely no desire to live.
Pelvic floor therapy helped my vulvodynia but not the vestibulitis. I have been saying since the very beginning "it's the entrance and the skin" as people droned on about estrogen and pelvic floor spasm. And the entrance (textbook vestibule are) has never gotten any better and that feeling of being raw and sandpapered on contact has never gone away. I think the testosterone has helped..since I have been on the estrogen off and on for about 2-3 years I am not really a strong cheerleader on that front.
I have read online pretty much every day all of the information I can find. I do find it hard to trust doctors as every single of the 8-10 doctors I have been to have told me that his treatment was going to work. I flew out to see Dr. Davis in Arizona at the beginning of the year and he recommended surgery, so on top of Dr. G's recommend that makes two docs. BUT I have read SO many terrible horror stories online even as I have seen the success stories.
I have fybromyalgia, allergies, scoliosis. I am worried that these other health complications may affect the recovery. Do you have any other health conditions? Do you know of any other women with other health conditions who have had this surgery with success?
What was your experience? How did you decide to have the surgery? How long did it take to get better? Do you feel 100%?
I know EXACTLY what I am looking for, I had it before the bladder infection with all my migraines and muscle pain sex was the one time I could feel good. Did you get what you were looking for?
Was remembering that you said you had an allergy to estrogen, even in the emu oil ...have you tried phyto - estrogen?
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and answer this.
So...If any of you have information about having a surgery and having any other "health issues" can you please give me feedback please.
