His and Her Health

I had a vestibulectomy 9 weeks ago. I am searching for some peace of mind. My symptoms prior to surgery were itching all over the vagina, and burning at the opening. While it may be better, it is certainly not gone. I did not have the pain that most describe with tampons, etc. Has anyone had this procedure who shared similar sympotoms? If so, how long should I expect this to last? I just wonder if I was misdiagnosed. I am still on the Gabopenten, which relieves the burning and itching.
(But it gave me relief before I went through the surgery and aftermath)
