Dr Peacocke and Vitamin D deficiency
I understand where Dr. Goldstein is coming from realtive to wanting more research from Dr. Peacocke on her theory of Vitamin D deficiency as a cause for desquamative VV. However as a previous patient of hers (I moved and can no longer get to see her), she first DID NO HARM. And, while she does primarilly use vitamin D as a treatment, she has regular blood and urine tests done and works with other MDs. I found this very helpful especially during pregnancy. And while I cannot have regular intercourse, I am pain free and when my symptoms arise they are 1 week prior to the onset of my period (dip in estrogen). So, I think any doctor who is willing to care for, listen to and work with their patients has possibility. And, I guess as a Christian, faith is believing without fact and sometimes it is what we have to do to survive.
