pathology results after vestibulectomy

Hi there

I am in my 3rd week of recovery after my vestibulectomy. My pathology results showed that I had infection in the tissue that was removed.

If any of you have had a vestibulectomy and received pathology results as to the possible cause or diagnosis for your pain please comment!! I have noticed that few people who have commented on their surgery and the success, or not, thereof have mentioned anything about their test results and I think it would be interesting to compare.

Thank you all!

what was the organism? I need to know the exact pathology before I can comment.

Re: pathology results after vestibulectomy

Thank you Dr Goldstein

The report just said deep tissue infection, with evidence of koilocytes in the epithelium. My Dr said it was post HPV pain, which was hard to get rid of, surgery usually being the only option...

I am now almost 8 weeks post op and still in quite a bit of pain. Could this be becuase so much tissue was removed? My Dr said he was cutting everything out (except the glands) to the bone.

Thank you for your reply.
