A question for Dr Goldstein please

An update: I had the modified vestibulectomy!! The tissue from the clitoris to the vagina was removed all the way to the pubic bone.

My pathology result showed I had chronic infection in the tissue removed and that all the infection was removed. Does this mean that my surgery may be a success (I am 2.5 weeks post op)? How do I guard against recurrance of infection in this area?
