I am 47. This is the 2nd time I have had this problem. Both times I believe it was because my husband wanted to use a vibrator. At first it is fine, but when he insists on using it after I have an orgasm and then dry up, that's when I think the problem arises. Afterwards, my urethra is red and sore and it progressively gets worse over the next few days so that urinating hurts and even sitting. I get some relief from a hot shower hitting that area, but it is very temporary. I also have the frequency to urinate, but this doesn't feel like a bladder infection since the pain is mainly when the urine passes the urethra and afterwards. Any ideas?

you can get an infectious or sterile urethritis. Did you do a urine culture? did you try antibiotics?
