Dr G - burning pain after vestibulectomy??

I had my vestibulectomy just over 7 weeks ago. All the anterior tissue was removed right down to the pubic bone and around the urethra. Pathology results showed signs of chronic infection that was no longer active and some signs of HPV.

I have been exeriencing severe burning in the area around the incision line that I can see and around the urethra. Is this normal? Does it mean the operation was not a success as I am almost through the recovery phase and still in so much pain.

I look forward to anyone's comments.
