Periods lasting 2 + weeks and coming every two weels

Why is this happening? I am starting menopause? This started after I go tmy tubes tied after the birth of my 3rd child. And it has gradually gotten longer and longer. First 7 day then each year seems to get longer and heavier..I feel awful all the time no energy. Should I see my gyno.haven't been in a while due to insurance problems can't afford to find out something bad right now..<BR>any suggestions, would taking birth control help regulate this problem for while..<BR>
