Re: a biopsy

Yikes. Could the bleeding have come from being active right away? I finally got some info from the web on a medical site and it said to put nothing into the vagina for a week. I finally found it around 11 o'clock last night. I must say, I was not prepared for this at all. I just went in for heavy periods and fainting etc, and my Gyn tells me I needed this. I am 41 so I guess it is time to start falling apart. thanks for your answer Trish. Katya_35
Re: a biopsy

At the time that I had mine done I had no sexual activity at all till I was finished bleeding. Now that I look back on it, it was very similiar to the Post-partum bleeding I just went through 6 months ago from the birth of my son.
Trish

Re: a biopsy

that is how my periods are. Every other month I bleed like afterbirth. Bright and no clotting and scary. I did the same thing after the birth of my children many a moon ago. Seems like 2 years ago the every other month nightmare started. I am finally getting it checked out. I may go on the pill if all is ok just to regulate the bleeding and nipple pain. They hurt like I am pregnant although I had a tubal 17 years ago. Thanks for answering.. Katya_35

Re: a biopsy

Hi Katya:
If all goes well, there is no real need to wait to resume normal activity after a routine endometrial biopsy.
It's possible that the problems you had afterwards were from whatever underlying problem you have, and not the test.
I'm glad you're getting it all checked out by your doctor. There are now lots of treatments available for problem periods- from medications to minor and major surgery.

------------------
Supportive Guy
