can anyone tell me what having a cystocele (moderate) does to the location of the g-spot? from pictures i have seen, it would seem to move it closer to the vaginal opening. but my "spot" seems to be further up and behind the bladder now. very difficult to hit it during sex.

btw, i have also had a hysterectomy. still have ovaries but he took the cervix. not sure if this makes a difference.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, hopefully the following information will be found helpful. If you have not already seen a doctor about having the cystocele repaired then you really need to. A portion of the bladder has herniated into your vaginal area and this is common after having had a hysterectomy when the uterus has been removed and the cervical stability has been lost. Also something that can cause for complicating matters plus additional reasons for having a cystocele is weak muscles within your vaginal walls.

Besides experiencing sexual difficulties, it can also lead to having frequency of bladder infections; obviously this it is not healthy for you to remain with this condition untreated. It could also occur that you will result with progression causing more of your bladder to become prolapsed as time passes; thus causing for your circumstances to become ever more troublesome. If you have already seen a doctor and surgery to repair the cystocele was not recommended then I suggest getting second opinion, more than likely things should not be left in this state.

thanks for the response B Strong, but getting the cystocele fixed right now is not an option. the gyn i went to last year said it would need to be repaired in the future but would be ok for now. i have moved and am now to far away to go see him even if i had insurance and the money. i am just trying to figure out what the cystocele does to the location of the g-spot cause i would really like to get it involved in my sex life. 45y/o clinical depressive, hysterectomy, cystocele, very high sex drive, and contrary to what i have been told would be normal for someone like me, i lubricate like crazy. but no orgasm other than clitoral from manual stimulation. want to make sure that at this point in my life (finally) i get all the pleasure that is possible. just need to find out what IS possible.

Long time since last designated posting, but here it goes: I would recommend being fitted for a (ring) pessary. Traditional cystocele repair can cause shortening & stricture of the vagina. The only smart repair is laparoscopic if the uterus is prolapsed in tandem. Regarding Hysterectomies - Few physicians in the U.S. are trained in nerve sparing techniques e.g. the Tokyo method that preserves the hypogastric & pelvic splanchnic nerves. The G-spot does not necessarily move in position due to cystocele, but is blocked & thus more difficult yet not impossible to reach.

A cystocele can move the G-spot behind the pubic bone and make it harder to stimulate. The G-spot is not a ball of nerves but is instead a combination of prostate-like tissue and the arms (crura) of the clitoris.
