Hello. I have been Diagnosed with Vestibulitis and have tried several remedies which include numbing cream, amitriptyline cream as well as the oral medication method. Nothing has worked so far. I am told that I have secondary vulvodynia for I was with my partner for 3 years before any pain began. My Gynocologist is very nice but she doesn't seem to know very much about the problem and I feel like she may not be the best doctor for me. I'm only 22 and I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I would love to hear about some amazing doctors in my area that may be right for me. I'd also love to know what the next treatment to try would be. I have been educating my self as much as I can and am curious about surgery and would be up for it with the right doctor who knows what they're doing. Any help will be greatly appreciated by my partner of 6 years and myself!

Do you have access to a major hospital? You could contact their gynecology department and ask for the name of doctors who specialize in treating vulvar pain and have done the operation.

I havent tried the womens hospital but my gyno said surgery is really rare and I'm pretty sure she's never done it. I asked her to refer me to a specialist but she didn't and could only give me info about pelvic physio therapy (which i did for several months). So I was hoping someone would knwo of any good doctors Thank you!

I've searched the major hospitals in the vancouver, bc area with no luck. Apparently there doesn't seem to be a gynecology department

Thank you, yes I have also donated and received information. I have names and contact info of doctors but I'm looking for a more personal referral. I haven't been able to find out the kind of info I'm looking for. Such as which doctors have performed surgery for vestibulitis and how many times and with proper results. Thank you again though.

Perhaps the Pelvic floor PT can give you some referrals in your area? Are you willing to travel? West coast US definitely has some specialists.
