I am a 26 year old women, and I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but i seem to allergic to my boyfriends penis. I have been in a relationship with the same man for 18 months and we have both been tested for everything a few times. I get either a yeast infection or a bacterial infection once or twice a month and I am so sick of being smelly, uncomfortable, unavailable sexually and broke from Dr. visits. I have received the list of DONTS for the sensitive vagina and I follow it and I still end up with infections. Please, if anybody knows a vulva specialist in my area, (central nj) that would be so helpful. I am sick of being told I just have a sensitive vagina,and to come back if I get another infection. i am aware that the antibacterial causes the yeast infection, but sometimes it comes first, then i get a bacterial infection, then i get another yeast infection from the antibacterial. Any suggestions?

Is your boyfriend using a condom? Maybe you are allergic to the condom.Has your doctor tested you for diabetes. Sometimes the recurring yeast infection is a symptom for that.Here is a link to one of our websites with information on many Gyn problems.

I Had the same issue.. most every time after sex I would get a yeast infection. I figured out that it was the spermicide on the condom I was allergic to

I also had this issue for many years it happened with certain partners but not everyone. I never looked into it I just dealt with it. In the beginning it was yeast infections constantly and then as I got older it turned into constant Bacteria infections and eventually it subsided but it went on for years. Doctors would say we are passing it back and forth but I dont believe that. It was both with and without condoms because originally i thought it was the condoms but still happened after I stopped using them. Good luck sorry I know that was no help but to know that it is common.

The most important question is: do you have a reaction if he ejaculates inside your vagina but not when he uses a condom- it can be a semen alergy.

If it does not matter if he uses a condom or not, have you gotten vaginal cultures confirming these infections?
