Hi all,
I found this site while doing a bit of a browse.
I am 33yrs old, so I'm hoping that pregnancy wont be far away.
For about 5yrs now, my Husband & I have been trying to conceive, even though before that, we never used protection.
We have been having specialist treatment at the hospital.
I have PCOS, which of course makes it difficult to conceive. Another problem I have is very very heavy periods. Which are sometimes present, but most of the time are not at all. When the periods are at their worst, it is almost like I haemorrhaging big time. When it gets like that, I need to take some pills, to stop it from coming. A few times I have been in hospital on a drip, as I have bleed out so much.
For about the last 2yrs I have been finding intercourse very painful. I always bleed a bit during sex. It is very upsetting not being able to be intimate with my Husband.
My specialist has written out scripts for different creams & antibiotics to try to clear, what he calls thrush. but it never seems to work. A few months ago, he prescribed me with a course of Sipositries. I thought that the problem was cleared. But it returned after a few days :confused:
When I have had my pap smears done, the nurse always passes comment on my cervix appearing very scarred & also being red & raw like mince.
The pap smear always comes back with too much blood present on the slide, I often have to return for another.
The specialist has not actually said what my other issues are, but a nurse friend suggested I may have a low estrogen problem.
This week, we have an appointment with the IVF people at his clinic.
So we will see what comes of it. The whole thing leaves us both confused.
