Suffering in Canada, but motivated

I'm really motivated right now. I'm 26 and have been suffering from this since sexually active (18). I've done every treatment in the Canadian book on this condition. I have vulvar vestibulitis, and I only have pain when touched around the vaginal opening area.

I'm going to school to be a nurse, and my partner is a physician and all of my friends are doctors, dentists, and nurses.

So. If you are in Canada, you might want to try this:
Go to your Dr armed with information. From my research and asking Obs/gyn Drs and residents is that no one here does the surgery that Dr Goldstein does. Apparently in the USA they are having a 92% success rates.
Check with your province and see what the Health Minister needs a specialist to write to get you approval to have the surgery covered by our health care system- since we can't get this proven treatment here. Then find out where the letter needs to be sent. You NEED approval before going for treatment.

This is what I'm going to do, I'll fill you in how it goes!

LyndiCan, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you will be able to supply Canadian posters with good information. Thanks.
