His and Her Health

For the last five years or so I have been experiencing pain during sexual arousal. I have tried to determine exactly where the pain is coming from but I cannot--It's everywhere...I guess it feels like too much blood rushing without any release or something like that. I can't explain it. It is odd. I feel like I am going crazy. The pain seems to subside somewhat during actual intercourse. Has anyone else experienced this? At first I thought it was all in my mind, but years later it hasn't gone away. Are there treatments for this? I have been too embarassed to explain this to my doctor.

When a woman is aroused there is an increase of blood to the vulva/vaginal area. If this is causing you pain I would suggest you do see your Gyn and tell him/her. It won't be the first time the doctor has heard this and they really need to know the problem before they can treat it.
