Fear of sex

Hello.

My girlfriend has told me that she has been struggling with borderline anorexia (she's going through therapy) and as a consequence is terrified of sex and is afraid of showing her body.

I was wondering if I can get any suggestions on how I could help her.

Re: Fear of sex

Aside from be a caring and supportive person there probably isn't too much you can do for her. Until the therapy starts working and she feels comfortable enough with herself to become physically intimate with you just being warm and non demanding would help.
Good luck to you both

Re: Fear of sex

I agree that being supportive and caring is the number one. You can also suggest that she discuss this with her therapist, and maybe the therapist can come up with ideas of how to make her feel more comfortable.
