First of all hello, I was searching for a place to feel "anonymous" while seeking advice/assurance, and found here. Since I'm new here please don't hesitate to tell me if anything is too detailed or whatever, I don't want to cause any trouble.

My boyfriend, upon fingering, decided to finger my anus as well... but I didn't like it (plus he got excited and was, what I would call, overly rough - accidental, though) and asked him to stop, and he did. I went into the restroom and noticed blood on the toilet paper, coming from there. I was in no pain or discomfort, and the bleeding didn't last too long... I was pretty scared (okay, that was my first time seeing blood coming from THAT side, my whole body was shaking) so I don't know how long it was. I applied pressure and it stopped. The blood wasn't gushing or anything.

I haven't had any bleeding or pain since then, a little over 24 hours ago. I've noticed some very slight discomfort a few times, not what I'd call pain, and it was only upon patting dry or after sitting in the same position for a very long time.

I'm assuming this is just a little tear that will heal, nothing to worry about? Is there anything that I should put on it to make sure it doesn't get infected? Any warning signs of a serious problem that I should be looking for? I'd rather not have to see a doctor, I have no insurance... and really, why go through an unpleasurable experience of going to a doctor about that if it's not necessary. *sigh*

I think I just really need to calm down. I've been really scared about this. =\

Two things could have occured.
You might have a slight case of hemroids, which is uncomfortable, but easily treatable in the earliest stages by Preparation H or a generic brand
Or as you said you could have a small tear. If he jerked his hand away bc he hurt you...his nail/cuticle could have caught hold of the very sensitive tissue down there, especially if you tensed up.

However, don't let it discourage you from experiencing pleasure from there.
As much of non-sexual person I am right now...I still know that it feels good when it's done right.

How do I know if I have a slight case of hemroids?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. A sign of hemmeroids is rectal bleeding but it more likely that your boyfriend nicked you with a fingernail and that caused the bleeding.

I had hemmeroids for years (ever since I was pregnant). It's just basically a swollen blood vessel near the rectum. I finally had surgery for them about 4 months ago. You would think that any bleeding (or surgery) there would be dangerous because the bacteria could get from your rectum to your blood stream but my surgeon told me that very rarely happens. The human body is used to having a lot of bacteria there and handles occasional small tears without any problem. I know this from 20 years of personal experience! I never once got sick from it.

That said, be careful with the anal play. And don't do it at all if you don't enjoy it.

eva is right. Anal play can be great for both men and women. Use lots of lube and go slow at first. The few times I have bled have been when I had an overly excited partner. Dont do it if you dont like it but dont close your mind to it just yet. If after doing it the right way you hate it then stop.

You'll be ok. Give the area a rest for a few days and keep it clean. Do NOT let your boyfriend finger you roughly in the future. Tell him he hurt you and he has to be more gentle and careful. You have to teach him how you like to be touched. Presumably he's doing it to arouse you and doesn't want to injure you. He may be inexperienced and need some guidance.

Make sure his fingernails are cut very short and clean.
