Hello, I'm 19, and I've been trying to have sex with my boyfriend for some time now. We reached the point when he is actually inside me quite deep. As we took it gradually, I didn't feel much pain while he probably broke my hymen. I think I should mention that his penis is rather long.. So the matter is, when he is inside me, of course there is some pain from me being all tense, but when he tries to go deeper, I suddenly feel this terrible pain, concentrated to one point, far away from the place where hymen is supposed to be. The best definition of that pain would be: a knife going through my belly from inside..

I don't know what to do. It's uncomfortable when we start, but once he's inside me it's allright, and then he hits this very VERY painful spot. It even brings me to tears!

Please could you explain me what it is? Is it possible it's not related to virginity and sex might be like this all the time??

The reason of the pain is that he reached your cervix. He is big for you.

It does sound like he may be hitting the cervix. There are many positions that alleviate this, but everyone is different, so you and he have to take it slow and figure out what position doesn't hit your cervix. Some say putting your legs over his shoulers. For me personally, that hurts more, with my husband. Try being on top and lying flat on him or lying on your belly with your back to him. Some say side-lying is better. Just a couple options. There are many books that show different positions. Also, you may need to use lubricant if he is big/long. And, NO, it should not be like this all the time, but you may need to figure out what works for you.

Isn't it supposed to help if a woman is sufficiently aroused? Doesn't that stimulate "tenting" which enlarges and elongates the vagina?
