Hello to everyone,
I just got married few months ago.Iam having problems with penateration. My husband tried to put his finger it wouldn't go in without me screaming. It so painful.I feel pain even spreading the libia's near the vagina opening. I feel really ashamed about this that i can't give my husband the pleasure he deserves. Please help me i have looked at several sites and nothing helped. I tried to compare other vaginal abnormalites the closest thing i could come up with is Microperforate hymen.All your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Brwneyes2010

Have you seen a gynecologist to determine if this is a hymen issue? I see so many women who think there may be a hymen issue and there is usualy a pelvic muscle issue as well as a vulvar issue. So, go get a good examination and proper diagnosis.

Thank you so much..... I think the Dr said vaginismus but i don't think so . Do think i should get another opinion. I was circumcised when i was seven years old too. (FGM)

well first of all vaginismus is a pelvic muscle issue where the muscles spasm. working with dilators and a pelvic floor PT can help this issue! As for the FGM, well I have not personally worked with people with this history but I know there is talk about this issue; I can imagine there being scar tissue possibly and that the way the muscles repositioned may have been not the most proper way.

Thank you so much for helping me. I'm really scared and worried. What i now as far my FGM is concerned that they cut part of clitoris and sewed me up like three stitches of my vagina. The stitches came undone when husband was trying to... But see i'm still having problem with him putting his finger in my vagina. It's just too much pain. The other thing is during my cycle i have these pain where by i feel someone is tearing my clit with hook.I don't have very long period too. My period lasts like 3 or 4 days max. Sometimes i can't even touch myself because my clit is super sensitive. Please help me. I will be foever greatful. Plus i don't want to lose my husband

www.womenshealthapta.org, click consumers, then PT locator. there should be a PT in houston on the list. perhaps try calling her and speaking with her if she can help to direct you to proper treatment. If you have a muscle and connective tissue issue, she should be able to help with that situation (ie. vaginismus).
