TOPIC: TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

Okay here is the problem, I cannot have an orgasam during vaginal sex, no matter what position we are in, I only have one with manual stimulation. The muscels in my vagina are lax due to weight gain and weight loss, you know the basic yo yo syndrome - I cannot afford vaginal rejuvination surgery, and have been told to try keegle exercizes, which I have to no avail, is there some other way or equipment that can help me build stronger muscels down there?

Re: TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

go look at zaneblue's diet. It's on this forum.

But also, keep in mind that most women can only orgasm from manual stimulation. That's normal.

Re: TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

Trying biofeedback with a trained specialist will tell you if you are doing the exercises correctly. This is key. A lot of women do the exercises incorrectly and they get frustrated. Also, doing the exercises in repetition is important--like any othr exercise doing 10-20 repetitions at one time helps build up strength. And, doing them a couple times a day, as long as you don't have any symptoms of pain or discomfort. There are also different activities, such as vaginal cones, the kegelciser that assist in doing the kegel exercises.

Re: TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

Okay Amy, this sounds like something that I should try, however, when I look for biofeedback and physical thereapy centers here in san antonio, there do not seem to be any thing connected to what I am looking for, do you have any suggestions?

Hi txsweedee,

I think Ms. Stein is right about what you should do, but she might not have noticed your second post. You have to track down a specialist. I'm sure that between San Antonio and Austin, you can find someone. Why don't you google PT + pelvic pain + San Antonio + Austin. Someone will know of someone. Otherwise, why don't you contact the International Pelvic Pain Society.

Re: TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

Hi

I am just trying the Kegel exercises but don't think I am doing it right. I feel only a slight squeeze with my finger in my vagina. I try to do them in the course of the day and at times find I am clenching my buttocks and tummy along with m PC muscles. I read this is wrong.I don't know how to isolate this specific muscle. Will these geisha balls and other inserts help ? I read they help work work muscles. Would appreciate help with this thanks.

Re: TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

Some of the inserts can help--the kegelsciser; although, I personally have never tried it. the next time that you urinate, try stopping the urine mid-stream by tightening the muscles. THAT is a kegel. ALTHOUGH, only do this as a test 1-2 times/ week, WHILE you are urinating. Then proceed to do the exercises when you are NOT urintating. you don't want to do it while urinating too often, b/c it can confuse the messages that go to and from your brain. My book, Heal Pelvic Pain, and some other books, Pelvic Power, have descriptions of how to do the kegels, how often, where to locate the muscles, etc.

Re: TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

oh...also, the International Pelvic Pain Society can give you a list of providers, as well as the Interstitial Cystitis association, the Interstitial Cystitis Network, the national Vulvodynia Association and the American Physical Therapy Association__FIND a PT. Just make sure that it says that they specialize in pelvic floor dysfunction. i would also advised calling to make sure that there is still someone in the office that specializes in PFD.

Re: TO KEEGLE OR NOT TO KEEGLE

I wrote a site up about this specifically: kegel-exercise.info I have not used an exerciser but I know that it will take significant time to increase the strength of your PC muscles. Keep it up. I actually use a method of holding in my urine stream and letting it go every time I use the restroom and do a few rounds before bed and have had tremendous results in my intimate life.
