pain with the g spot

After reading the latest book, hubby and I went searching and we think found the g spot. I've never had a g spot orgasm (until now I thought it was a myth)but enjoy clitorial and my hubby is a patient understanding lover who I can talk openly with. We did like the book said...finding a soft patch on the front wall inside the vagina almost two knuckles up and stroking it in a "come here" motion. But it actually seemed to hurt instead of being anything orgasmic. It gave me the sensation that I needed to urinate, which the book mentioned also, but this sensation wouldn't fade away and became just sorta irritating. At first we thought maybe I was concentrating on it too much so hubby turned on the soft music, turned down the lights, (I guess we were being a little clinical about it to begin with, lol) and after other forplay, (yes...this time I was ready) we tried again but ended up with the same result and I made him stop.
Are we in the wrong spot? What are we doing wrong?
[This message has been edited by contessa (edited 08 January 2003).]

Re: pain with the g spot

It definitely sounds like you found it. The fact is, not all women enjoy g-spot stimulation. For many women, it's the end-all, but for a good number, it either doesn't do much or is uncomfortable. Now that you've found it, I'd suggest having the hubby try it again at random during sexplay. Make sure you urinate before getting too into the foreplay, so you don't have to worry as much about the urge when he gets to the g-spot. If, after a few more tries, it doesn't feel good then don't worry about it. It's just the way you are. Some women, like myself, love cervical stimulation and others can't stand it, some don't feel much of anything in their clitoris (again, that is me)....
It's great that the two of you are so open and interested in trying new things.
