Hey So Ive been on the pill for about 3 months on my third pack now. Since Ive started it Ive gotten bad acne, slight weight gain, and really bad mood swings. Im wondering if its worth it. If you have sex like once a week or less is being on the pill worth it?

If you are trying to prevent getting pregnant some kind of birth control is needed.Ask your doctor if a change of BC pills would help prevent some of the side affects. Here is a link to an article on our website that may give you some more information on different BC methods.

What kind are you on right now? Most BC helps with acne, though weight gain and sometimes mood swings are common with most BCs. I'd also suggest asking for a different pill.

thanks so much for responding! I figure I should just stay on it and ask my doctor if I should switch and what not. Yea i read a lot of places its suppose to HELP with acne so I dont know. But Im on alesse

I sometimes find myself in the same situation. My main problem is my sex drive. It just diminished so bad when it came to my birth control pills. I wonder if there are any female sex enhancements female sex enhancements or something that would boost my sex drive and not counteract with the birth control itself. Well I guess it's either that or back to condoms.

I dunno I dont really have the sex drive problem, but im sure there are things u can look up on the internet or something.
