Uprima might help a little
Hi all!
A few weeks ago I told this group I'd try Uprima (containing apomorphine), which is the second pill after Viagra to be marketed in my country for men with Erectile Dysfunction (ED).
As far as I know Uprima has not been approved for women with FSD as of yet by the manufacturer, Nastech, eventhough they are in the second clinical trial phase. For women they are testing an intranasal spray.
As this isn't on the market yet, I could only get my hands on the dark red tablet of Uprima which is designated for men. I have tried Viagra before, but apart from palpitations and flushed cheeks nothing happened.
Uprima proved to be a slightly different experience. With the emphasis on slightly. About 10 minutes after letting the tablet dissolve under my tongue, my skin especially around the loins, became more sensitive to my boyfriends touch.
Also my orgasm seemed to last longer, but unfortunately lacked intensity (as usual). Also, there was no increase in desire. Only side effect: a slight headache.
However, in my humble opinion, the positive result is disputable. For the mere fact that:
* on the instruction leaflet it says the tablet is to be taken the moment you start the foreplay of the love making. Thus, by stroking the skin it is difficult to say wether this causes the sensation or the tablet does.
* also: maybe the hopeful expectation of a better experience itself causes better arousal (placebo-effect?).
* on the other hand, these two points were also present for Viagra and that did nothing for me.
So, I think Uprima is marginally effective but is not the magic bullet I am hoping for(and probably millions of other women as well).
Maria
BTW: I am not sure if Uprima is available in the US.
