Am I starting to become incontinent?

Hi, i am 36 year old woman, two childre, which i had in my early to mid twenties. I have recently noticed that i have started to lose water from my vagina from time to time, especially after taking a bath. My initial reaction was I had just got bath water caught up there, but recently i can be just walking or squatting down and i just feel a trickle of warm, not ahuge amount but enough to soak a pant liner, and it is urine as it smells of urine. I occasionally have to change my underwear. It's not so much posing a problem socially or in work, but mainly has been happening after a bath. I'm wondering if i am starting to have mild incontinence. Can anyone advise? Thanks

Lilly, welcome to our forum. A visit to a urologist or a pelvic floor specialist would be useful for an evaluation of your condition. Here is a link to an article you may find helpful.

Re:Am I starting to become incontinent?

Hello Lily, It sounds like you are having some symtpoms of stress incontinence as the urine leaking is occurs during activities. I agree in seeing a urologist just to rule anything else out and once that happens to try some pelvic floor physical therapy. Not that it has to be only bc you have had children, but that could be an aggravator; your pelvic muscles as well as abdominal and perhaps low back may be weakened or not working in a timely fashion. You may be squatting incorrectly. Trying to work on this now as it will help decrease or stop these symptoms and prevent any worsening issues.

Good Luck
