Vaginal E. Coli?

Hello,

A while ago I was complaining of having some painful cracks in my intimate area; going to 2 gyns and following 2 different treatments (both consisting in a local cream, one anti-candida, the other one with antibiotics). My fault was that I've stopped the first treatment, after one day, because of a bad burning sensation. Anyway...
I went to a 3rd gyn, he took a sample of my vaginal secretion and sent it to be tested. He told me that at the hospital's lab, if I have a yeast infection, they can't identify exactly what's exactly causing it (candida albicans for example). The results came back positive for a fungi (undetermined one) and I have followed the next treatment: one unique dose of fluconazolum and a local cream, for one week. I had no painful cracks ever since
Last week (after my vaginal secretion became really thick and white) I went to my gyn and asked him to send a sample of vaginal secretion to a better lab (that's private) and get it tested for everything. I got the results back today. They are negative for Candida (Yeast infection) but positive for E. coli. My gyn said it's nothing bad, and I don't have to follow any treatment.
I'm in such a doubt. Did I have E. Coli from the beginning? Is this possible? Or my yeast infection simply disappeared and now I have this? Yuck. I'm more afraid of following an antibiotic treatment and getting an yeast infection again... Plus that, it's the first time I ever hear about vaginal E. coli...
Anyone is welcomed with any advice.

I forgot to add that my vaginal secretion keeps changing from one day to another. Sometimes it's normal and fluid, other times it's white and thick. I want it back to normal forever.

Re: Vaginal E. Coli?

You may have had the E Coli first and that caused Bacterial Vaginoses. If you Google vaginal E Coli you will find info on the subject.
The changes in vaginal fluids may be from hormonal changes.
