Howdy folks,

Let me give you a rundown on what's going on. I am a 20 year old male and I am engaged to a 20 year old female. We have known each other for 5 years and decided to make it official 9 months ago. We didn't become sexually active together until about 10 months ago. The first few months the sex was amazing. We both wanted it nearly every day(sometimes more than once a day).

Now for the problem. . . About 3 months ago my fiance just lost any and all sex drive. We went from having sex 6 to 7 days a week to 1 or 2 times a month. She says it hurts when I am in her (right near the opening of the vagina about half an inch inside). She used to get VERY moist when she was aroused, now nothing happens, it's dry as a bone even when she says she is in the mood. She says sex isnt that important to her anymore and that shes more concentrated on advancing in her career. I asked what happened and she doesn't know(neither do I). She will not go to the Doctor to figure out what's wrong because she said it's embarrassing.

Does anybody have advice on what to do? I love this girl and really want to marry her but if this is how our intimate side is going to be the rest of our life I don't know if I can take it. I am a very sexual person and I was under the impression she was too. The only thing that really changed was that she started taking the pill 2 months after we started having sex. Please help!!

I am a 20 year old woman and have been having sex for 1 year. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 5 years and bought a house a year ago. In my opinion, most 20 year olds love sex. I hate it. Not because of my boyfriend, but sex in general. I want to like it because it is causing problems for us and I find it reasonable for my boyfriend to want sex all the time. He is 22. I have "virtually no testosterone" according to my Gyno. Oh, and my doctor suggested Mirena, but I already have some cysts on my ovaries.

alliecr, if your boyfriend is like me, he'll still want sex all the time when he turns 50. Being 22 does not make it an exception.
