TOPIC: I'm sure this gets asked a lot... however...

I'm sure this gets asked a lot... however...

I'm fairly certain this is a popular question, but I'm not sure if the same recommendations apply to me as well.

I bought my first vibrator about a month ago (well first one that I ultimately liked and used more than a couple times). Loved it, worth every penny. But the last few times that I've used it, it's taken me almost 5x as long to get any reaction and I've gone numb from it.

I did read the archived threads on this site, as well as others about clitoral numbness and vibrator usage. Why I'm posting asking for similar (but still different) answers is because a) I've never had an orgasm and b) I don't manually masturbate.

I have no idea why I have never reached orgasm, and believe me it's not for lack of trying. I've done all the recommendations (used various lubricants, different positions, watched porn, read erotica, took it slow, took it fast, etc.) I know my body and etc. That's not the issue. I'm not on any medication of any kind, never had surgery, never been abused, nothing. As for the masturbation, well it just does absolutely nothing for me. Again, I've tried everything, and it's gotten to the point where I highly resent anyone saying I don't know my body, and it's particularly insulting because I do. However it 100% turns me off, should I be in a situation where being aroused is disrupting my activities, I fix it excusing myself and manually playing with myself.

I have no dryness issues, never been pregnant. Typically I have a high sex drive, lately it's been lower (for reasons that are not concerned to this).

So essentially my question(s) is(are) how do I fix this (assuming I can) and what can I do to prevent this again?

Thanks.

Part of the issues sounds like you're building a relationship with an inanimate object. That's okay if that's what you want. Put the vibrator away as continued repeated use is only going to aggravate the problem. Switch to a dildo, start manually masterbating, find a nice friend to help the process. Its okay to use the vibrator once in a while but it let those nerve endings down there regenerate a little.
