Psoriasis & FSD

I have a lack of desire like many women. This has been going on for 8 - 9
years & seems to be getting worse. Recently I've started to get depressed about the whole situation, and having disturbing dreams. Been to 5 ob/gyns; 4 of them told me it's just temporary & to give it time, only 1 has listened to me and tried to help -with testosterone pills and other Rx's that I can't keep on my stomach.
Quirk #1 - I have a very sensitve stomache and a high metabolism those medications I can hold down don't usually stay in my system very long. There are no specialists in this town or close by - nor can I afford to go to one.
Quirk #2 - I have psoriasis from the top of my head to the tips of my toes - not solid but spotted and classified as Severe.
On my lips, breasts, and vaginal areas - makes life very uncomfortable.
I'm 33, 2nd marriage (very loving, supportive
husband for 10 years), 2 girls (13 & 11), 95lbs or less for years, 5ft even,
work out with a Bowflex 3 times per week for 25 minutes. Hubby & I own our own business and work 12 hours a day or more, 5 days per week. No cure for the psoriasis and none of the $$expensive treatments worked so I
gave up on all of them and just stick with a good, mostly natural moisturizer. The only thing that really does any good is swiming in saltwater on a very sunny day with a high UV index and hope that I DO get a sun burn. I got 2nd degree sunburn once several years ago and my psoriasis went into remission for over a year.
I do everything I can to avoid sex most of the time. He would rather it be the other way. When we do actually make love I almost always have at least one orgasm but sometimes multiple. Lately I haven't had any - very unusual. The main problem is it takes a very very long time to get my motor running. I've resorted to reading explicit books which are expensive and hard for me to find - mostly because of my shyness on the subject in a public sense. I
have to read for at least an hour and a half before anything happens. I've tried the usual herbal stuff and a multitude of other things. Nothing has been any help.
Any information/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Psoriasis & FSD

I dont know if this helps, I'm 32 have three kids and married for 13 years. I have vulva eczema !!! Does it affect me there YES. But my problem is I have almost no feeling there anymore becasue of it and low blood flow as well. Do skin problems like ours cause permadent problems ?????

Re: Psoriasis & FSD

This doesn't deal with most of your problems, and it may not be the best solution...but there are free websites on the internet with exotic stories. They're not porn sites (i.e., pictures). Do a google search on cliterati for an example. It's a good site, and it's directed towards women. I'm kind of embarassed to admit that I read these things...but it's the best of all the ones I've seen.

Re: Psoriasis & FSD

Rain,
I've know of eczema but I didn't realize it affected those areas.
With psoriasis there is an Increase in blood flow to the affected areas. You would think that I would be overly horny but I'm not. I guess because I've been this way longer that the psoriasis has been down there.
I empathize with you.
You can't go out into the sun with eczema can you?
JenK,
Thanks for the info. I'll look there today. I thought I could only get these type of stories through purchased books.
I was begining to think that I was turning into a porn type obsessed person. But the way you put it makes it sound different.
Do you have any book or other recommendations?
Thanks, TJ
