A few days ago my boyfriend told me he was itching, and then we had sex. We used one of those red Lifestyle condoms after a while, which we've never tried before. The day after I had a minor burning sensation down there. Since then, I burn and itch down there, it's become really bothersome. So much to the point that it hurts having sex. I doubt either of us have an STD, we've been only with each for three years. We're both wondering if it might be a yeast infection, but since I've never had one, I wouldn' know. I hope somebody can help, since to get an appointment with a doctor would take over a month.

A doctor would have to examine you and do a test to determine if you have an infection and what kind it is.Have you tried calling your doctor and telling the nurse or the appointment desk that you think you have an infection and need to see the doctor right away, be insistant .I would suggest not having intercourse until you know the cause of your itching and burning.

The problem is I don't have insurance. All I can do is go to the local free clinic. I'll try to see if I can get a quick appointment. From the article you gave me, it really seems like a yeast infection. I have all of the symptoms of a yeast infection, but I'll try to check with the clinic before I buy any stuff for it.
