Trouble orgasming...

My boyfriend bought me a vibrator in November.. we used it a bit during sex and it was great. He went away for about a week in December and I guess you could say I got a bit vibrator happy. Since he's been back I haven't been able to orgasm as easily as I was able to before. The only position I can orgasm in is me on top. In missionary, it still feels good but I can't orgasm. Even when I masturbate it doesn't feel as good as it used to. I also read about desensitization caused by vibrators but everything I've read says it only lasts about a week if you stop using them. This has been going on about a month and a half.. help!

Re: Trouble orgasming...

What kind of vibrator was it? It's possible to cause permanent damage, but from what I've ready you have to use a REALLY powerful vibrator (like a hitachi magic wand) and used it with REALLY heavy pressure over an extended period of time. You're only talking about a week. That, and the fact (if I understand you correctly) that you haven't used it for a month and a half make me think something else is going on. Have you had any health changes? Diet changes? New stress in your life? New medications?

Re: Trouble orgasming...

I think its called a Rabbit. He told me they told him it was one of the most popular vibrators. When I do use it, it's on the most powerful level because that's where it feels best for me. I've maybe used it twice since that one week. I was on a pretty strict diet but came off of it around the end of December.. and there's some stress but no more so than normal worries.

Re: Trouble orgasming...

I have a Rabbit and while it might be able to temporarily desensitize you if you use it a lot, I don't think it's capable of causing nerve damage. The rabbit ears are soft and flexible. I find it hard to believe that's the cause of your problem.

Could it be that your orgasms now are about the same as they were before you started using a vibrator, but the vibrator orgasms are so much more intense for you that the "normal" ones seem less strong now by comparison?

If it's any consolation, most women find it just about impossible to have a clitoral orgasm in missionary anyway. It's simply not a good position for female pleasure.

Re: Trouble orgasming...

If it's not the vibrator it has to be something else.. maybe one of the other things you mentioned because I've never had a problem orgasming in missionary; it was actually the best position for me to achieve it. Thanks for your help though =)

Re: Trouble orgasming...

I think it is possible that the other orgasms through penetration and what not are not as intense as vibrator orgasms. But not necessarily the issue. I am having the same situation. One thing you might try that was working for me temporarily is is stimulants that are edible for oral + added stimulation.

Just a thought.
